About me

My working life has taken me through front line delivery to customers, working with external partners to deliver high quality services, managing corporate support functions and leading on organisational learning strategies.

With almost all my job roles including people management, my adoption of a coaching style in leading and developing my teams brought me to an ever increasing interest in supporting individuals' development and promoting reflective practice in management.

In 2006 I set up the Coaches in Government Network, an innovative community of practice to support the development of internal coaches working in Central Government organisations, which ran for five years.

Now working freelance, I am an accredited coach and coaching supervisor and editor of The Listener, a journal for coaches.

Other things about me:

  • Chartered Fellow CIPD
  • Assessor for entry to the Civil Service Fast Stream
  • Certificated Practitioner in Clean Language
  • Regional Co-ordinator (East Anglia) for the Association of Coaching Supervisors
  • Founder member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council's Public Sector Forum
